Especially small businesses like your favorite local, dog-friendly breweries, bars and restaurants throughout Colorado. Due to COVID-19, many of our partner’s bars, breweries and restaurants are closed, but many are still open for to-go beer for pickup or delivery, and sell gift cards which you can use in the future. If you can, please help support some of the best dog-friendly venues in Colorado, and share this list with your friends and family.
While we are no longer promoting or selling PupPass in its current form, we want to try and support our amazing partners as best we can. In our opinion, dog-friendly small businesses are a huge part of what makes neighborhoods and cities special, and we look forward to the day when they can open their doors again.

First off, we sincerely hope everyone reading this is healthy, safe and preparing accordingly for the COVID-19 virus.
Things have never been more uncertain, and like many of you, the PupPass team is deeply concerned, both from a health and financial standpoint.
We STRONGLY recommend that you take the precautions of local and state governments seriously when it comes to visiting any bar, restaurant or other venue where large groups of people gather.
For this reason, we can no longer actively promote PupPass in it’s current form.
We are looking into ways that we can still support our venue, business and nonprofit partners, many of which are small businesses that will be hit the hardest by the economic downturn. Picking up growlers and cans of beer to go, and buying gift cards that can be used in the future, are certainly great first steps in supporting your favorite local dog-friendly venues.
We are open to other ideas as well, please email us: hello ( at ) puppass.com.
Your delivery drivers, bartenders, servers, chefs and staff work super hard and have been massively affected by this financially. Show them you care and appreciate them, with a few extra dollars. They deserve it.
Buy Local As Much As Possible
Consider buying everything from groceries and produce, to dog food and treats from local and small ecommerce businesses. Many of them have online stores, do a search in your area and keep money flowing to small businesses. The Amazons and Wal-Mart’s don’t need any more money.
Stay Home If You Are Sick
This should go without saying people, but let’s do what we can to be smart about protecting ourselves and others. As you know, you can be positive for COVID-19, but not show symptoms. If you even have a sniffle, don’t chance it! Stay home.
Keep Up the Social Distancing
Keep up the 6ft or more distance from others. This especially goes for beer and food pickups. Better safe than sorry.
Leave Positive Reviews, and Follow Small Business on Social Media
In addition to buying local, you can help small businesses out by leaving them positive reviews on Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor, etc. and give them some love and positivity on their social media accounts.
Say Thank You!
We’re all in this together, and a little effort goes a long way. Be appreciative of those working hard to keep us safe, and those working hard to serve us food, drinks and other services during the pandemic. Saying thanks and telling folks you appreciate them makes a huge difference.
Be Patient
We will get through this. We’re not sure how long it will take. We all want to return to normal, go to our favorite restaurants, bars and breweries, but we have to stay patient. Rushing back out into public when it’s not entirely clear how the virus will spread and can harm people is not the answer right now. Let’s all do our best to be patient, and in the meantime show our love, gratitude and support for our favorite dog-friendly venues by buying their beers, merch and gift cards. When this is all over, that support will go a long way.
Giving back is part of our core mission. That’s why 10% of profits from every PupPass is donated to our exclusive nonprofit partner, the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.
So while you and your pampered pooch enjoy the patio, less fortunate pups are given the care and love they deserve.
Every year the Humane Society of Boulder Valley provides shelter and care to over 7,000 animals. Many of the dogs that HSBV finds homes for in Colorado come from outside the state, with over 55 rescue and emergency disaster relief organizations working together to provide veterinary care, medical attention, positive behavioral modification, transitional support and safe, loving homes for dogs in need.
